Latin Proverb: De lana caprina rixari Horatius, Ep. 1.18.15

English equivalent:  To quarrel over trifles, or the more colourful: To wrangle over an ass’s shadow.

Translation: To fight over goat’s wool.

Meaning: In short: don’t fight or bicker over things that are unimportant.
