1. This week's Latin quote

"quam ob rem omnis, quom secundae res sunt maxume, tum maxume meditari secum oportet quo pacto advorsam aerumnam ferant, pericla damna exsilia: peregre rediens semper cogitet aut fili peccatum aut uxori' mortem aut morbum filiae communia esse haec, fieri posse, ut ne quid animo sit novom; quidquid praeter spem eveniat, omne id deputare esse in lucro."

– Ter. Phor. 241–245

4. Books

Terence: Eunuchus (ed. John Barnsby)

This last week I've been reading and re-reading the Eunuch by Terence. It's such a treasurettrove of good colloquial expressions and furthermore, it's still funny. I found this edition in our department library and I enjoy it. The commentary is very useful and the edition overall is sound.

Tres Fabulae Horrificae by Jocelyn Demuth

This is a new graphic novel in easy Latin. I have not read it, so I can't vouch for the quality of the Latin.
